The Fledge & Co Hoeksteen

Rich and aromatic, the Fledge & Co. ‘Hoeksteen’ preserves the essence of South African wine, with an experimental twist. The bottle opens with bright aromas of citrus blossom, golden apple, and honey. On the palate flavors of toasted almond, yellow plum, and red pear are accented by hints of ginger and rooibos. This wine is cold fermented for 3 weeks in French oak barrels, which creates a round, creamy texture without imparting intense flavor. Lifted acidity leads into a soft, chalky finish with a bit of complexity from 13 months of aging sur lie.
